A Cool Tool for Connecting Time

If you’ve spent any time at all reading what I write here, you will be aware of my love affair with the word “connector.” I go on about it quite a bit, like in my blog posts NETWORKING ON STEROIDS: CONNECT WITH A CONNECTOR, and PROFESSION PROFILE: REAL ESTATE and then there’s IT’S NOT ONLY WHO YOU KNOW, IT’S WHAT YOU ASK THEM. It really is an outstanding word, especially in business.

The fact of the matter is that business can’t be conducted unless people make connections. There are numerous TYPES of connections, but some meeting of the minds, voice, flesh, or correspondence must occur. It’s pretty logical really. Business is mainly the exchange of goods and/or services for money, and a series of connections almost always have to take place for that to happen.

One of the rough spots in that road is, of course, time. Maybe not so much always find it, but finding a block of it that matches the person you want to share it with. Calendars clash. Phone tag. Back-and-forth. Scheduling Chaos!

Time tool

So, a bit of digging brought me face-to-face with a little something called TimeTrade. In a nutshell, it allows you to post your availability on your application calendar and offer a link to that calendar anywhere you can think to place it.

Technically, it looks like this: https://www.timetrade.com/  but you can make it look like this: Schedule with Frank here! or anything else including buttons or graphics, and placed it on your website or LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or other online presence.

It’s pretty easy to work with, and everyone is notified and reminded of the appointments.
